Lingerie-Inspired Trend

I’ve been dying to try the lingerie look since I’ve been seeing it on so many celebs including Rihanna and Selena Gomez (so hot!). I’m more conservative than most, so a slip-looking dress works for me rather than a sheer, lacy bustier. It’s very ‘Posh Spice’ circa 1998 (the 90’s are back!), and can be worn for a casual daytime look with sandals, or dressed up for a night on the town. This is actually a real nighty from Zara, but a lot of trendy-affordable brands are making dresses to look just like slips and nighties (see my suggestions below). If you can’t find any that you like, just go to the lingerie department and find a nighty that follows these three rules: 1) it has to be a thicker material than satin 2) it cannot be sheer and 3) it cannot be form fitting! These guidelines will steer you clear of looking like you’re about to hop into bed! Go try it…NOW!

Steal My Style:
Dress: Zara (unavailable, but here are two options that I approve of: Topshop $40-obsessed!, and Lush $52)
Jacket: BlankNYC $98
Heels: Steve Madden $79
