Every Spring and Fall, I go through a huuuge deep cleaning, purging, and organizing sesh. And by deep I mean DEEP. No spot gets left behind! But this year I really needed to organize our pantry that had been neglected throughout our renovation, so I hired out the deep cleaning help.

Read the methods I used to organize our pantry efficiently below, plus a FREE Mrs. Meyers Healthy Home kit and 50% off a deep cleaning upholstery service!

Pantry Organizing Tip #1: If it looks aesthetically pleasing, it will reduce anxiety & simply feel more organized and less cluttered.

Yeah, I’m getting all Marie Kondo on you. Let’s be real, I don’t have to face my labels all the same way or display my cookbooks this way. Is it completely necessary? Hell no. But it does it make my pantry look less cluttered? Heck yeah!

Pantry Organizing Tip #2: Use the stuff you think is way over the top and unnecessary. It’s available for a reason!

RISERS

I use these risers for canned and jarred goods because it allows you to see everything available in your pantry without having to dig. How many times have you cleaned out your pantry to find that all the stuff in the back is expired? Actually since getting these risers, I haven’t bought a duplicate pantry item from the grocery store because I can visually see what we have very easily!

BASKETS

I use baskets to wrangle in all the loose stuff and keep them separated by categories like baking ingredients, crackers and chips, nuts, grab-n-go snacks, etc. See below for the different types of baskets and chalkboard clips I use!

LABELS

No, you don’t have to follow the label to a “T”. Also, the chalkboard ones are super easy to change in case you go keto and throw out all your carb snacks. But you will keep the other members of your household more in line when they go to put their crackers back in the quick meals basket.

LAZY SUSANS

I also have a few lazy susans that I use (not pictured) for the little, little stuff like medicines and essential oils. I also use one in the fridge for sauces so we can easily spin it around to see what we have without pulling the entire fridge out to find one sauce. The lazy susan also makes it really easy to see everything you have without digging. I linked the two kinds that I have below!

Pantry Organizing Tip #3: Separating the Multi-Function Space From the Main Space Will Make it Feel More Purposeful

There is absolutely no getting around using your pantry as your storage, kids chore chart, or whatever else! It just happens. I have china and entertaining pieces stored on the top shelf of our pantry, and a whole wall is dedicated to other things like our chalkboard, dog leash and apron hooks, and a mail and key drop. If you keep those things out of sight and out of mind, it will make you focus on the pantry aspect of it, putting more emphasis on the point of the room.

Deep Cleaning

I’ve been using Grove.Co the last year-ish for our cleaning supplies because everything that they carry is pretty clean and free of harsh chemicals. They also carry Mrs. Meyers and Dr. Bronners brands cheaper than you would find them elsewhere online! And even have their limited edition scents when they come out. I also love their scrubbing brushes so much because it’s one handle (or you can buy multiple) and the brushes interchange. I have one for regular scrubbing, heavy scrubbing, glass cleaning (they even have a champagne glass specific one lol), and a separate cast iron one (you can see them all below). The main point of Grove is their subscription model, but I just order once to get the free incentives and then cancel it.

Coconut Cleaning for the deep upholstery stains

I recently had Coconut Cleaning come deep clean some of the stains that were on our rug, chairs, and sectional and posted these before and afters on my IG stories. Finley had a few weeks where he threw up a lot and one of his accidents happened on our rug as you can see below. Our rug is like new now after Coconut Cleaning!

I think a professional deep clean like this is great to do once a year to maintain your upholstery and get all the dust and allergens out. Twice if you have pets! I will probably do this every Spring and Fall.

Coconut Cleaning doesn’t use harsh chemicals or a ton of water, so your upholstery isn’t soaked and it doesn’t get left with a mildewy smell! Both very important to me.

You can get 50% OFF your coconut cleaning by just mentioning my name when booking!
